Ingredients:

Onions – 2

Tomatoes – 2

Cinnamon and elaichi

Red chili – 2 tbsps.

Green Chili – 2 pieces

Ginger garlic paste

Mutton – 250 grms

Hara dhania leaves

Pudina

Oil – 150 grm

Basmati Rice - 250 grms

Curd – 1 cup

Lemon – ½ for juice

Preparation:

1. First wash the mutton pieces thoroughly then add curd, ginger garlic paste and some salt and mix it well. Keep aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Now turn on the gas, take a bowl, add some oil and fry cinnamon & elaichi till they turn brownish.

3. Now add onions and fry till they turn brown, this is the key part to get a good taste.

4. Now add ginger and garlic paste and fry for a while then add red chili powder and green chili and fry.

5. Now add mutton pieces to the mixture and saute for 2 to 3 minutes then after 3 minutes add chopped tomatoes and stir for another 3 to 4 minutes

6. Add some salt to taste and mix well, add few more chopped onions and stir well.

7. Now add 3 cups of water, few hara dhania leaves, pudina leaves and cook for 4 whistles in pressure cooker.

8. Now take another bowl and cook rice, make sure it is not cooked completely. You need to cook it partially I mean half boil.

9. Now that your mutton curry is ready add some curd and lemon juice to it and heat it for 2 minutes.

10. Now take a non-stick shallow fry pan, pour some water then place the rice bowl on it. Now add the mutton curry to the rice bowl and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes on sim flame.

Masala Bhidi recipe or besan bhindi is one of the most famous recipes of north India. Lets check the easiest way to prepare masla bhindi here.

Ingredients:
  • Oil – 2 to 3 tbsps.
  • Bhindi (okra) – 250 grams
  • Besan (Gram flour) – 2 tbsps.
  • Onions – 2
  • Roasted jeera powder (cumin seed) – ½ tsp
  • Kalonji (nigella seeds) – ½ tsp
  • Saunf (fennel seed) powder – ½ tsp
  • Haldi (turmeric) powder – ½ tsp
  • Dhania powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Amchur (mango powder) – ½ tsp

Preparation:
  • Before we begin make sure that the bhindi is chopped off at its ends and make a slit in the center about ¾.
  • Now take a pot and put it on full heat with oil added, then reduce the heat to medium and add kalonji
  • Now stir kalonji for 15 to 20 seconds and add chopped onions
  • Now stir the onions for 2 to 3 minutes till it gets translucent.
  • Next add besan (Gram Flour) and stir for few minutes, then add salt, red chili powder, garam masala, haldi, dhania powder, saunf powder, amchur and roasted jeera powder.
  • Stir well for few minutes and add bhindi (okra)
  • Now stir the bhindi well and make sure it mixes with the masala well. Now repeat the same procedure for every 2 to 3 minutes till the bhindi gets cooked.
  • Now turn off the gas and transfer the bhindi to a serving dish
